From a design of about 1760 this mahogany bracket clock { a fairly modern descriptive word for a table clock not having a pendulum hanging down below the case } is a working example of contemporary craftsmanship.

Comitti was founded by an Italian instrument maker in 1845 and continues to this day making luxury timepieces.

This 8 day example chimes the quarter hours and comes from a private home of a now deceased solicitor who purchased the clock new in 1995.
