A rosewood work table dating from about 1830.
This piece has exceptionally well carved decoration.
Originally a teaboy, a Hindu word, with canisters and a mixing bowl for the raw materials it was at some later date "modernised" as a work box.
The previous owners acquired it at Liberty's store in London in the 1980's and had the interior lined with a smart fabric.
Excellent condition.
